West Street Productions joined StormCenter Communications to help broadcast Meteorologists from around the country cover the launch of the GOES-R weather satellite from The Kennedy Space Center.
StormCenter hosted TV Weathercasters from around the country for a workshop at KSC prior to the launch. The forecasters covered the event and the launch reporting live from the space center. West Street produced insert pieces, on site sound bites and other coverage during the 3-days leading to the launch. We then produced a "proof of performance" marketing piece for StormCenter. During the 3-days there were more than 70-live shots, 30 updated interviews, plus various live social media posts reaching a huge audience across the country.
The GOES-R promises a "game changer" in weather forecasting. Allowing much more accurate and timely information in predicting hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, even dangerous fog conditions.
