That ball cap of your favorite team you purchased for just $5.00, or a Gucci that watch your neighbor got for $30.00 may seem like harmless good deal, but pull back the layers and you find that "knockoff" products lead to the loss of billions of dollars world-wide. And for many, the surprising truth is, Intellectual Property crime often involves gangs, drugs, even homicide, and sometimes a path to funding terrorist groups.
The National Crime Prevention Council launched a campaign to bring that message to law enforcement across the country. Urging local agencies to put more resources into investigating IP crime.
