PERF - is a Washington "think tank" for law enforcement agencies across the country. Their latest project is called "Chapter 2", a guide to retirement for police executives. Many police chiefs and other law enforcement executives qualify for retirement after 20-30 years of service. Some retiring in their early 60s or even late 50s.
